Fees & Charges

Service Fees & Rebates

Our fees are $220.00 per session. This continues to be below the current Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommended rate of $280.00 per hour for Clinical Psychologists.

Typically, sessions are between 50 and 60 minutes.

If a relevant mental health care plan is in place Medicare will rebate $131.65 per session, for up to ten sessions for the calendar year. For clients who have high healthcare costs annually, the out of pocket gap counts toward the Medicare safety net.

Private health and other rebates vary depending on the benefits you may qualify for. Please consult your private health insurer for further information.

As rebates are not intended to cover the whole cost of your service, there will be a gap fee to pay. Your gap fee is the difference between your service fee and any allowable rebate, and is your “out-of-pocket” expense.

Unclear about what it will cost you? Send us your questions on the form to the right.

Cancellation Fees

Appointments that are not attended (missed) or that are cancelled on the day they were scheduled, will necessarily be charged at the full fee of your booked service.

A $100.00 fee will be charged for cancellation with less than 24 hour notice.

Please contact us at your earliest convenience, if you are unable to attend your appointment.

Young Minds acknowledges the Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the first inhabitants of the nation, and the traditional custodians of the lands we all enjoy. We pay our respects to ancestors and Elders past, present and emerging. We value and honour Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ unique cultural and spiritual relationships to the land, waters and seas and their rich contribution to society. Young Minds acknowledges the traditional owners of the land upon which our health service is built, the Yuggera and Turrbal People.
